My name is Aly and Truman Studio is my creative outlet in my rather full life! I have been creating since I was kid pulling scraps of lace and fabric out of my mothers garbage can or using my fathers bandsaw to build my own Barbie beds. After I got married I started scrapping and loved it. I had an entire room for it and even bought fun IKEA furniture to make the room my creative “den”. Then I had kids! I lost my room and didn’t want to leave my little eyelets, beads and pieces of paper around for tiny little hands. Digital scrapbooking has saved me…it is my therapy. In the evening I can just create without the mess. I started designing so that I could make kits to match my photos and have loved every minute of it. When not scrapping you will find me homeschooling my kids, cooking and baking (another passion), possibly running or reading and very likely cleaning and doing laundry!

I am the wife to my wonderful, supportive husband of 10 years. He has been a graphic designer for years and in the last year was just given the opportunity to live out a dream and has become a professor at a Christian University in Texas. He has always supported me in my dreams and even signed up to run a half marathon with me a few years ago even though neither of us even walked daily. 4 months later we crossed the finish line and just keep coming up with new random dreams and keep crossing the finish line together! Just so you know…I am madly in love with him even after 10 years!

On moving day! Ready to pursue our new dream and about to travel 1800 miles from Pennsylvania to Texas with 3 kids and 1 cat!

My three girls are the reason I scrap. We never know how short life is or when our memories may start to fade. Or they might just forget and say I never did anything fun for them and I can pull out my books and say wait did you remember that we took you to 30 National Parks and Monuments before you were even 5! They are very creative kids and I am forever cleaning up bits of cut up paper, finding glue sticks minus tops, etc. I want to seize every day I have with them and make every moment, cuddle and talk count!
